Yeri Yun Designs - Etsy!

For those of you who don't like shameless self-promotion, this post is not for you.  Sowwy.  But for those of you who are looking for cute DIY wedding templates, step right up!

Yeri Yun Designs has opened its virtual doors on Etsy!  I opened up an Etsy shop back in January of this year and did nothing about it until a couple of months ago when I decided to take the bull by the horns and created some DIY printable templates based off some custom designs that I have done for previous customers.  Perfect for the bride and groom who are on a budget but want the same look and quality.

The options are:

  • Vintage Carnival wedding invitations - printable
  • Lemon Lime wedding invitations - printable
  • Modern Polka dot wedding invitations - printable
  • Big Balloon wedding invitations - printable

Keep checking back since I'll be adding more designs!  And keep checking back on this blog - I plan to do a giveaway VERY VERY VERY soon.  My first one!

Adios Cindy!

My friend Cindy is moving from Seattle to Hawaii on Friday so some friends and I got together and threw her a very fratty luau themed BBQ for her.  Just kidding.  We decided to go for the lesser known but infinitely cooler 90's grunge / Seattle-themed party.  From the cloud shaped invitations to Reality Bites playing silently on repeat in the background, we made sure that Cindy would miss all the fun things about Seattle.  Luckily everyone was a good sport and dressed up (or down?) for the occasion.  All guests were resplendent in plaid and the photo booth had plenty of rainy day Seattle props.

Thank you Abigail and Jonathan for hosting and providing delicious Mexican food and equally delicious libations.  Our dear Cindy will be missed but this will just give us all an excuse to go to Paradise.  And if she ever misses home, she can always turn up the Nirvana to drown out the ukuleles.

Seafair Weekend BBQ

I mentioned in yesterday's post that over the weekend we had a fantastic time celebrating Seafair at a house right by Lake Washington.  We were so close to the lake that the backyard had it's own dock.  That's right.  You are reading correctly.  It's own dock!  And I couldn't have asked for better weather, food, or company.  Sheer idyllic perfection.

// Adam had the choice between grapes or donut holes.
Guess whose arm jutted into the frame to pluck a powdered donut hole?

Blue Angels

Photobucket

Hi.  Remember me?  Perhaps you don't and I don't blame you.
It's been almost 2 months since I last blogged.  I'm not going to lie though.  It felt great!  Like many things in life, interests ebb and flow and my motivation for blogging plummeted to an all time low.  The guilt lasted about 2 days and I'm amazed at how quickly I shrugged it off.  Instead of blogging I've been spending a lot of time outdoors.  Adam and I went camping, I trained for and ran a 1/2 marathon, am training for a full marathon in October, was a bridesmaid at a friends wedding, and worked on several design projects.  But I figured my self-inflicted sabbatical must come to an end before I completely disappear from the blogosphere.  And what better way to plunge back into blogging than Seafair weekend?   A friend of ours was housesitting at a beautiful home right by Lake Washington (more about that later) and so we got a fantastic view of the Blue Angels show.  SO MUCH FUN.  Enjoy!

Plaaaaay Ball!

Adam and I went to the Mariners vs. Angels baseball game last night at Safeco Field.  These were the tickets that I bought him for our 1 year anniversary.  We had a great time!  We even ended up on the big screen, mostly due to the little girl in front of us dancing her heart out.  So far the two games that I've gone to all year have resulted in a Mariners win.  Should I be so egotistical as to assume that I am the lucky charm?  Just kidding.
Unfortunately for Adam his beloved Angels lost (see Adam pouting in last photo).

Parts of the game were really slow.  So slow that I was going through old photos on my phone and texted a funny picture to the in-laws, to which my MIL texted back, "Boring game, huh?"  How did she know?!
