Simple Easter Tablescape

Whenever I think of Easter decorations my mind inevitably veers towards pastels.  So when thinking of Easter tablescapes, pink, yellow, and purple hues sprang to mind.  But I banished these typical colors and selected a more neutral color palette.  The base of the decorations is the white dinnerware (from Ikea) and a simple floral arrangement.  But what makes the tablescape are these flop eared chocolate bunnies place cards.  Not only are they adorable with the floppy ears but the white chocolate works well with the color scheme.  All these bunnies needed were little tags and ribbon to complete their outfits.  I also think any candy/chocolate could work well as a place card, like a hot pink chick Peep.

My friend, the talented Yvonne (from ModernGirl blog and Yvonne Wong Photography) and I have teamed up before for crafts/photos here and here with great results and this time was no exception.  The photos came out beauuuuuuutiful!

Fun fact about this photoshoot:  While Yvonne was busy taking these amazing pictures, her husband David and I got the upper arm workout of our lives.  That beautiful blue/grey wall is not a wall or wallpaper.  It is actually a large piece of fabric that we were holding up on each end.  It's all smoke and mirrors!  The drapey nature of the fabric required pulling and tension.  Needless to say we had to take a lot of breaks.  And since I have no upper arm strength to speak of, I was (unsurprisingly) sore the next day.  All for the sake of getting "the shot".  Totally worth it but my arms are quivering just looking at these photos.
